Frequently Asked Questions
The questions our sales team hears most often — about the brick, ClayStone, samples and ordering.
What makes “Olde World” handcrafted brick different from regular brick?
Our brick is hand-finished for the irregular warmth and character of “centuries gone by,” yet it is produced on a modern plant line and meets all of today’s strict structural standards. Builders tell us the curb-appeal helps sell their homes first.
What does the ASTM “SW” grade on your brick mean?
“SW” is ASTM’s most stringent severe-weathering specification for brick, covering freeze–thaw durability. Our modern factory sits on a superior clay deposit on the high plains of West Texas, which allows us to exceed it.
What is Handcrafted ClayStone?
ClayStone is a revolutionary building product created by Everlast Systems Inc., and we were selected as its first manufacturer. It joins the durability of hard-fired clay with the majesty of stone — for any wall, indoors or on the exterior. See the ClayStone page.
What colors, patterns and mortar joints does ClayStone come in?
Colors include Cyprus, Saxon and Whitecourt, laid random or in ashlar and straight patterns, with white or grey mortar in flush or raked half-inch joints. Examples are in the ClayStone gallery.
Where can I see or buy your brick and ClayStone?
Through independent distributors across Texas and in more than a dozen other states, from Louisiana and Oklahoma to Colorado and Georgia. Start with the Texas distributor list or call the plant and we will point you to the nearest yard.
Do you provide brick samples?
Yes — sample boards are kept at most distributor yards, and our sales coordinator Vicky Jinkins can arrange samples directly from the plant. Reach us at (325) 573-1572 or Vicky@snyderbrickco.com.
How long has Snyder Brick & Tile Co. been in business?
The company was founded in 1999 by a team of brick experts with more than 200 years of combined experience, and our bricks now adorn proud properties from Colorado to Georgia.
Can ClayStone be used together with regular brick?
Yes. Whether indoors or on the exterior, alone or in combination with brick, ClayStone dignifies and enhances the look of any wall — the product page shows it paired with “Olde Delaware” brick.
